From Bogotá to South Florida, to NYC and LA.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Bogota. When I was nine years old, my parents, my sister, and I moved to South Florida, trading the mountains for the beach. From then on my life was full of various influences and nuances. I observed, analyzed, and found ways to make sense of it all. From an early age I learned to identify and appreciate differences. From an early age I became a thinker and a problem solver.
My Strategy career began in New York City, where I lived for seven years. I started out in digital media, moved on to creative strategy and then spent time as a cultural anthropologist. Ultimately, I became a Strategy Consultant, a role that allows me to tap into my range of strategy experience. Four plus years ago I took the leap and began to work independently.
Today, I think of myself as a brand builder. I love creating brands and giving them life through purpose. A brand with a clear reason for existing has the opportunity to inspire, to be loved, and to fuel change. Simplifying complex concepts to identify a brand’s story and true value is my favorite challenge.
When I’m not working, I am usually running, preferably by the ocean or up a mountain. So far, I’ve completed two marathons and I am endlessly amazed by the lessons I gain from the sport. Traveling, too, is a priority. I grew up moving around, instilling a forever travel bug. Seeing the world keeps me grounded, inspired, and widens my world view. Mostly, I stay content by spending time outdoors, learning something new, or getting lost in a book.
